Asembo East is a ward in Kenya’s Siaya County located in Rarieda Constituency. It lies on Lake Victoria, close to the Winam Gulf. A small road connects it to the C28 highway. The bay, Asembo Bay shares the name of the town and was once a significant port. The Asembo Bay Life Center is active in the area with humanitarian assistance. Asembo East contains five locations.
Asembo East Ward exists to serve the community. It seeks to provide better services the community needs. Serving the community is our single most important aim, to which all individuals, households, homesteads, clan, and community at large should be committed to.
To do so, we act in the public interest to:
(i) Foster stability and prosperity
(ii) Improve the quality of life for the whole community
(iii) Protect the right and freedom of individuals
(iv) Maintain the rule of law
(v) Encourage people to promote social work and play their part in the community
(vi) Care for those who need help in our society
